YES, there is something very annoying about all of this! Your listings are being offered through TWO DIFFERENT auction venues. THIS is very confusing! As I may be the high bidder on items on ONE auction venue, I am OUTBID on another auction venue! (without knowing) WHY? Why list your offerings through TWO different entities? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE what you offer and have gotten many treasures from yall! Respectfully, Joshua

On one purchase the artists name was wrong, on another the materials were not correctly described and a third probably had the country of origin wrong. These errors were not meant to deceive and when I brought them to the attention of the gallery they quickly corrected them.

2nd time byer, great auction group with some of the best old things around anywhere. Will buy again

It was real problem pleasure to make deal with this auction house.

I feel that they overcharge for shipping small items. Also, I am very experienced with archaeological artifacts, and I notice that they sometimes fail to mention obvious repairs to items. Also, they are selling quite a percentage of modern fakes as genuine, even when the evidence is pretty obvious. Recently, ceramic artifacts have become all too present in Artemis auctions. Bob knows how to spot certain evidence of ancient ceramics (such as black spots intended to be mistaken for manganese dendrites), but obvious examples of such evidence is being ignored or overlooked. Also, some descriptions are sloppy and at times are just obviously inaccurate, showing ignorance of the subject matter while pretending otherwise. More care and professionalism is needed before their reputation becomes badly damaged.

I am inundated with emails from this auction house. I have updated my preferences more than once in an attempt to cut down on these, but it has had NO EFFECT so far. They send a vast amount of e-mailings, 95 % of which are irrelevant to me & which are not limited in the way I've requested.

Do not declare as "antique" objects which have no more than 100 years (I bought 2 African masks 50-60 years old). In Europe, the word "antique" may cause problems with the custom control (import of cultural or archeological property). In the States "antique" is a pass, but in Europe an additional difficulty for import.

I really appreciated the attention given to packaging and the inclusion of a Certificate of Authenticity. It was a pleasure the receive the bid item so carefully attended to in wrap, packaging and presentation. Thank you.

There were 3 pottery pieces, one of them (the largest piece) had noticeable fractures and cracks that were not shown in the photos or even mentioned. The condition described implied that all items where in good condition.
