We hope that our explanation below can provide you with some background on why shipping and its logistics are not as simple as taking an item out of a local warehouse and shipping it the next day to the customer. Please keep in mind that we offer free shipping for most items (other than furniture and especially expensive smaller items), unlike most auction houses which charge a packing and shipping fee. As a digital auction house, we operate without maintaining inventory in-house. Our business model is designed to provide our consignors with an additional sales channel without requiring them to change their way of operating. We automatically connect to their inventory systems to know in real-time what items are available. We test the availability regularly before the auction begins to ensure we have the most up-to-date inventory, though we can never be 100 % certain due to various technical reasons, including human error. This approach allows us to offer our customers a wider variety of products from all over the world at a better value. However, it also means that we have to purchase the item from our consignors and have it shipped to us for our quality assurance process. After passing the review process, only then is the item is shipped out to the customer. I hope this clarifies the reason for the shipping delays. We are very sorry for this mix-up. Just so you understand, we run many auctions a day with hundreds or thousands of items that are being auctioned. We work with very reputable and credible vendors but human errors do occur. There was clearly a misidentification of the item by our vendor-not an issue of authenticity. Though I have just come across your review (we are trying to figure out why this took us this long to be aware of it) we will address it to your satisfaction. Any reason for the delay in your comment to the purchase in January of the item? Just trying to understand. Again, our apologies for this situation. Would you prefer to have a refund for the item or a replacement?
