won an item, paid for it, requested a shipping quote, and have been waiting to hear from them for 17 days. multiple emails left unanswered. I think I've been scammed.

Lost respect for this outfit after learning they allow for bid cancellation so your competitor can learn your max bid. Hardly confidence building auctioneer.

two things: (1) one of the two lots I won was lost and was sent notice only after I paid for the item and the refund was slow coming (2) the "internet payment charge for using a credit card" ended up to be 20 % of the sale price

Though the final price plus shipping and commission didn't make the auction house rich, every aspect of this transaction was done with care and professionalism.

I won a items through Ripley for a total of $7, 316, and I paid in two separate payments using wire transfers. Ripley insisted that the second wire transfer had not been received, so I went to the bank several times and the bank was very sure that the money had been successfully remitted. Then Ripley Auction House put my $4, 800 item back up for auction, and months later Ripley still claims not to have received the money. Last month, Ripley finally admitted that they had received the money. My appeal was to return the money to us, but Ripley Auction House never replied. For this reason, I contacted Liveauctioneers, but there was no proper solution. I have been using Liveauctioneers for over a decade and this is the first time I have come across anything like this. Very poor communication and shipping arrangements. They did not follow up on my multiple attempts to reach out, and caused confusion and long delays with shipping

Items are better than expected. Everything was accurately describes, and in gorgeous deco condition. All pieces were fantastic. I can’t even choose which one’s my favorite. I love working with this company there, efficient, responsive, and overall one of my Favorites!

I contacted this auctioneer because they charged twice what the shipping should have been for 3 tiny jewelry items!!! They didn't even respond to me... no offer to justify their action. They mailed items (that would fit into a small, wallet sized priority mail box) in a very oversized box, and even then they doubled the shipping cost!

Shipping for my item came to the same price as the entire item. I was disappointed that there is no option to choose a private shipper, and that the premiums (buyers premium & shipping) exceeded the cost of my item unnecessarily.

Supportive customer service and promptive in following up the order. I will continue to visit and bid on Ripley Auctions 'future auctions.
