Description
Autograph of James Monroe (1758-1831) American politician and fifth President of the United States (1817-1825). Document is an ADS on vellum dated May 10, 1824 being a land grant issued to Joseph Dupery of St. Clair County, Illinois for 80 acres issued from the Land Office in Kaskaskia, Illinois. Framed document measures 8.5" x 12" (sight) and is housed in a frame measuring 14.5" x 17.5". Document exhibits folds, wrinkling and some small holes, one involving the "OE" in Monroe.
