Terrific service, I wish all auctioneers operated with the positive attitude towards their customers as Claydon does.

I did have to create a conversation with the people of Claydon, and it was handled wonderfully. Aside from the auction, they also packed and shipped my items and that was also wonderful! I am very grateful to those that assisted me, and I am quite pleased with everything. thank you!

Advertised able to ship small items. Although this was only a 12-13” bowl I was notified it was too large for their in-house shipping department. Therefore I needed to contact a 3rd party shipper from overseas. Also because I was overseas cc payments weren’t accepted so I had to pay via bank transfer incurring extra fees from my bank twice for both the auction house payment and the shipping payment. This item cost well over $100 more than expected because of this.

I bought a couple of items and wanted one shipped to a friend in the UK and the other shipped to me in the US. I was very pleasantly surprised at how affordable, accurate and fast they were. All in all a real pleasure to deal with. And it's good to know I can bid on something overseas and not break the bank having it reach me-although I would recommend smaller items...:)

Very happy with all aspects in dealing with them. The pins where in perfect conditions. It took longer to get them just because Canada Post it is very slow to deliver. I will definitely go back and have fun bidding in the future.

Claydon's auction House was unable to help me with an insurance claim after the painting I bought from them was damaged either in their care or the shipper's care. I do not recommend this auction House.

The watercolor, being of earthtones and dark colors, has significant, and I do mean signifcant damage, that was not cleary visible in the photographs, but when looking at in person was very detectable. Literally as much as 1.75 cm holes where the paper the painting was painted on was missing. Either eaten by silverfish or some other vermin. If I was operating an Aution House l would have written a few simple words, "significant damage and losses." But they chose not to do this, a simple few words and a few more seconds of time writing them. They met their objective. Made a sale that had it not been for the lack of transparency, would have and should have been much less than my purchase price. This is exactly why Liveauctioneers has alienated and disenfranchised so many Antique Dealers. Where is the transparency?

They did a great job with the description of the item. Item as described. Fast pickup offered.

They don't really ship in house. They seem to have an agreement with a very expensive courier service that they recommend you to, which I would imagine they get a kickback from. They're payment methods are also unnecessarily annoying. And they have actually been flagged by my bank as potentially fraudulant so keep that in mind when paying by card that your bank may just block your card from them. However with that being said my item did arrive, was exactly as described and it was well packed.

I only placed bids at the Auction house because they said they had in-house shipping..... they do not. Items sent to MBE and the packing was VERY POOR.
