I don't know how they do it... So many items and so many bidders, in person and on line, over 3 days. I won 6 lots over the three days and they got them all to the packer so he could see what might be shipped together. To pack carefully takes time and costs money. One of my items was a beautiful phonograph horn made out of stain glass. The hammer price was only $300.00. The packer gave me a number of packing options. One was $320.67 with a 3 "cushion. Adding one more inch brought it into" dimensional weight , which would jump to 625.00 and adding 2" $724.00. This is the first time packing/shipping cost more than the item. I took a chance on the least expensive and was thrilled it made it here without a problem. The total cost to pack and ship my six lots was $891.27. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning opening up all the packages. I finally got smart this time and spread a large tarp on the floor to catch the mountain of peanuts and packing. It was nice to add some treasures from my old phonograph friend Don Gfell. Thanks Much!

I was able to purchase a great vintage player for a decent price had a minor shipping issue but it was rectified to my satisfaction quickly.
