WHAT IS THE BID BOARD? The Bid Board is a month long open silent auction of antique & collectible items. Each month between 6000 to 7000 items are on display at our auction facility at Merchants Square Antique Mall in Allentown, PA for the purpose of selling to the highest bidder. Each new Bid Board auction begins on the first Friday of the month and closes on the last Saturday of the month, regardless of the date, at approx. 12 noon. Some of the categories include Coins, Stamps, Militaria, Die Cast (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Tootsie, Corgie, Ertl etc), Gold / Diamond & Silver Jewelry, Vintage Costume Jewelry, Sports Card & Collectibles, Automobilia, Ephemera, Political, Weaponery, Furniture, Pottery, Glassware, Disneyania, Dolls, Comics, Erotica, General Collectibles, Trains, Action Figures, Beanie Baby, Pokemon, Board Games, Barbie, etc.. Each item is assigned a lot number and has a corresponding bid card. Registered bidders are allowed to inspect and bid on the items anytime we are open and until the Bid Board is officially closed on the last Saturday of the month. The high bidder at that time is then awarded the merchandise. Although you need not be present when the Bid Board closes, it is the responsibility of the Bidder to contact us within two weeks after the close of the Bid Board to verify successfulness and, if you were the successful bidder, pay for and pick up the items. (We will ship to our customers out of the area at their expense or hold merchandise for pick-up, but , payment must be made within two weeks). Late payment is subject to a 10% penalty and possible loss of bidding privileges.
