In 2015, ZQ Art was established by Jose Zelaya, to provide expanded services in auctions, collection management, restoration and appraisals. Known primarily as a Haitian art expert and dealer (Arte del Pueblo), Mr. Zelaya represents dozens of private art collections in North America.
His expertise in auctions was gained from managing the sale of over 1,000 lots from the art collection of Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme. Mr. Zelaya has successfully sold consignments as varied as 16th century to modern day chess sets, tribal, folk & ethnographic arts, Russian, Old Master, Self-Taught and Latin American paintings.

High quality items, low opening bids, excellent communication
Each item was accurately identified and included provenance. I like to see more photographs and fuller condition report in the initial descriptions; however, the auction house responded quickly and fully to my questions and provided additional good quality photographs. The well-packed items safely arrived soon after payment. I have a high degree of confidence in ZQ and would take part in their future auctions.
